Terms of use

By creating a GlucoTracked account you accept the terms below. Article 3 is the most important one: it sets out what the app can do and, above all, what it cannot.

⚠️ This page is a courtesy translation. In the event of any discrepancy in interpretation, the French version prevails.

1. Purpose

These terms govern use of the GlucoTracked service, available on the web and installable on a phone. The service lets you photograph a meal, obtain an AI-generated carb estimate, log your meals and the doses you decided on yourself, keep a history and generate a shareable report.

2. Access to the service and account

  • Creating an account requires a valid email address and a password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for actions carried out from your account.
  • You undertake to provide accurate information: the data you enter feeds your history and the report sent to your doctor.
  • The service is for adults. A minor may use it only under the responsibility and supervision of a holder of parental authority, together with their clinician.
  • The number of AI analyses is capped by a monthly quota depending on your plan. The quota resets on the 1st of each month.

3. Nature of the service — essential limits

⚠️ Key article

GlucoTracked is a carb-estimation and logging tool. It calculates no insulin dose and suggests none. It is neither a medical device within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2017/745, nor medical advice, nor a prescription. The values shown are not reliable 100% of the time and must never on their own justify an insulin injection.
  • Carbs are estimated visually from a photo: sauces, fats, added sugars, true volumes and recipe variations partly escape the analysis. The result is presented as a range, with a confidence level.
  • The app calculates no dose. Any dose recorded is the one you entered yourself, after deciding with your doctor: it is kept for your records, without being checked or validated.
  • The carb estimate takes no account of your glucose or its trend, active insulin, physical activity, the fat and protein content of the meal, or your doctor's own instructions.
  • The PDF report is a self-reported record of your own entries, meant to feed the conversation with your care team. It is not a medical document.
  • The service is not suitable for any emergency. In case of severe hypoglycaemia, ketosis or collapse, call 999 or 112.

These limits are set out in full in the medical disclaimer, which forms an integral part of these terms.

4. Your undertakings

  • Check and correct the estimates offered before saving them, then weigh them against your glucose and your doctor's instructions before any injection.
  • Do not change your treatment, your ratio or your doses on the basis of the app alone, without your doctor's approval.
  • Decide your doses with your doctor: the app offers none and replaces no medical instruction.
  • Upload only photos of meals, excluding any unlawful content, any photograph of an identifiable person without their consent, or any document belonging to a third party.
  • Do not attempt to circumvent quotas, disrupt the service, access it by automated means or extract its content in bulk.
  • Check the recipient's email address before sending a report: you are the one transmitting your health data to a third party.

5. Pricing

A free plan gives access to a limited number of analyses per month. The paid plans announced on the site are not on sale yet: no payment is collected at this stage and the prices shown are indicative for as long as subscriptions remain closed. They may change before opening, which will be governed by separate terms of sale setting out, among other things, the right of withdrawal.

6. Availability of the service

The service is provided “as is”, with no guarantee of continuous availability. Interruptions may occur for maintenance, updates, technical incidents or a provider's failure. AI analysis depends on a third-party service whose unavailability may temporarily suspend that feature.

Never make a treatment decision depend on the app being available: always keep your usual method of assessing carbs.

7. Liability

The publisher uses reasonable means to provide carb estimates that are as accurate as possible, without guaranteeing their accuracy. As the app offers no dose, the user remains the sole decision-maker for their insulin doses and their treatment, together with their doctor.

To the extent permitted by law, the publisher cannot be held liable for a treatment decision taken on the basis of the estimates shown, for a user's data-entry error, for unavailability of the service, or for a report sent to an incorrect address entered by the user. No clause herein limits the publisher's liability in the event of gross negligence, wilful misconduct or harm to physical integrity.

8. Personal data

The processing of your data, including your health data, is described in the privacy policy. Creating an account constitutes explicit consent to the processing of that data for the purposes stated therein only.

9. Term, termination and deletion

You may stop using the service at any time and permanently delete your account from your profile: profile, meals and photos are then erased immediately and irreversibly.

The publisher may suspend or close an account in the event of a serious breach of these terms, in particular misuse of the service or circumvention of quotas.

10. Changes to the terms

These terms may be amended to follow changes in the service or in regulation. Any substantial change will be flagged in the app; continued use constitutes acceptance of the version in force.

11. Governing law and complaints

These terms are governed by French law. Any complaint may be sent through the help form available in your profile. Failing an amicable settlement, the French courts have jurisdiction under the conditions provided by law.
